Il gioiello è stato sin dall'infanzia una presenza costante nella mia vita.. Nata in una famiglia di orafi e gioiellieri, muovere i miei primi passi lavorativi in questo settore sarebbe stato facile, persino prevedibile, invece un lungo percorso da decoratrice e disegnatrice, sembrava avermi allontanata da questa professione.
In seguito, il desiderio di creare un gioiello di concetto contemporaneo, spogliato del suo valore intrinseco e del metallo prezioso, mi ha riavvicinata a questa antica tradizione, forte di una sapienza assimilata per osmosi, che si perpetua e si rinnova.
Da qui nasce l'ispirazione dell' utilizzo del ferro come metallo struttura dell' oggetto. Intrecciato, piegato, adattato a seguire le morbide forme del corpo femminile.
La scelta di utilizzare pietre naturali, preziose e semi preziose, nella varietà dei loro colori e riflessi, come esaltazione della natura.
Questi legami di ferro e preziosità sono dunque il segno di un infinito che si rincorre, stabilendo arditamente, con il suo design, il nostro essere contemporaneo.
As a child I was exposed to jewel craftsmanship . I was born into a family of jewelers and goldsmiths . At the start of my working career, it would have seemed inevitable for me to have followed in my family footsteps, but I instead, chose to study and work in decorative art and design.
With time, I felt the desire to create a contemporary concept of jewelry, enhancing not only its intrinsic value and its precious metals , but keeping in mind the art of ancient jewelry making traditions, that throughout time has continued to evolve and innovate new designs .
This was to be the inspiration to the start of using wire as the supporting structure, rather than gold or silver, for my handcrafted jewelry pieces. Each individual piece is interwoven and shaped to resemble the soft body contours of a woman.
The choice to make use of natural stones, precious and semi precious gemstones, with their variety of colours and reflections, to give a e sense of harmony with nature.
The relationship between metal wire and its preciousness, throughout its design reflects our contemporary being.
